We were sailing in the Grenadines, which form part of the Windward Islands. This group includes numerous islands, such as Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Grenada, Dominica, and Martinique\u2014each a gem for sailors. There are countless parallels between the land and the sea, between sailors and farmers. I\u2019ve had many chances to observe this when returning to the region of my childhood and speaking with farmers and winegrowers. It\u2019s about endurance, maintaining the right mindset, never giving up, holding steady, and knowing when to pull ahead. Then one day, I decided to combine my skills as a skipper with the emerging technology of the Internet. About 25 years ago, I launched the world\u2019s first boat rental website. I still vividly remember the excitement and surprise of receiving our first booking request from halfway across the world\u2014a customer wanting to reserve a boat in the West Indies. That moment is unforgettable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What is your favorite boat, or do you have one in particular?<br><\/strong>My favorite boat? At the top of the list is always my next acquisition!
