Construction: Ferro cement hull & deck, wooden
house, and fir planked decks over a Ferro skin.
Engine/Electrics:
3 cylinder 30 HP Yanmar 3GM30F
fresh water cooled diesel that was totally rebuilt
in July
2002 including
the
injectors. She has approximately 300 hours on
her since. There is 1 steel fuel tanks of approx
60
gals total
and she burns less than 1/2 gal/hr @ 5.5 to 6
knots for a range of about 1000 miles. She has
two batteries,
shorepower, a 10 amp charger, 1000 watt inverter, and electric and
manual bilge pumps. Her electronics consist of
a compass,
2 VHF radios, a depthsounder, a "Raytheon" GPS
with LCD plotter, a 16 mile "JRC 1500" LCD
radar, and AM/FM/CD Stereo.
Spars/Rig:
She's a gaff rigged staysail
schooner with Fir spars and galvanized standing
rigging. Her running
rigging
is operated by block and tackle and she has
6 sails: gaff mainsail, 2 staysails, 3 headsails
and a fisherman.
Interior:
Down below she's laid-out
in five levels.with an aft cabin, 2 level galley/
navigation area,
a main
salon
area and a forepeak/head area. The aft cabin
has sit-down headroom with a double berth,
single berth
and a seat.
The galley is large and functional with a
3 burner/oven propane stove, a S.S. sink with
H & C pressure
water, a large fridge/freezer with 110v compressor and microwave.
Her water capacity is 100 gals in 2 aluminium
tanks and she has ample galley storage. On
the starboard
side is a sit-down chart table with shelves,
drawers, and cupboards. Forward is the main
salon which is laid-out
with settees on either side, pilot berths
outboard on both sides and a fixed drop leaf
table in
the centre. A new "Dickinson" Newport
propane heater is mounted on the bulkhead
in the salon. Forward to
starboard is an enclosed head with vanity,
S.S. sink with H & C water, and marine
head. In the forepeak is a double berth and
lots of storage areas.
On Deck/Other Equipment:
Her steering is hydraulic
and she has an emergency tiller. Off the stern
on davits
is a 9.5' FG
sailing dinghy and an inflatable with 12
volt outboard.
Going forward from the cockpit is a coachouse
and a large
classic skylight over the salon area. Further
forward is companionway access to the forepeak
and there
are 6 anchors with lots of chain, line
and a manual Windlass.
Her safety equipment includes a 8 man "Beaufort" liferaft and other safety equipment.
